Secret Dangers in you Home for your Pets
We love our pets and we want them to be safe and healthy for many years to come. We keep them away from danger and regulate their diets to make sure of this. But, what kinds of dangers are lurking in our home right now that you may not even be aware of. Here are the top three dangers for pets that you can easily avoid.

House plants will pretty up your home like very little else can, but many of the most common house plants are actually very toxic to your pets. I’m not talking about a stomach ache either. I suggest getting fake plants from a reputable dealer like www.silkflowerwarehouse.com if you want to add a little color and greenery to your home. You can also get plants that are safe for cats and dogs, like those found on the ASPCA list of pet safe plants. Pets tend to chew plants, so I still suggest silk flowers over real ones for keeping your pets healthy and your plants from being chewed up.
Raisins and grapes are actually very bad for dogs. I have known many people who give their dogs grapes as a healthy treat, but the tannins in grapes can cause renal failure and endanger the life of your dog. Raisins have an even higher concentration of these tannins. They are safe for humans, but they are deadly to dogs and cats to a lesser degree.
Onions, garlic and other similar plants can cause a form of anemia in cats that they can never recover from. This condition is known as Heinz body anemia and it is a solid reason to never feed your animals table scraps. They may be cute when they beg, but it’s not worth the risk. Other than plain white chicken meant, you should never feed your cats human food.
There are a lot more types of food that are fine for us, but can be deadly to our pets. These are just two examples of foods that are commonly thought to be safe, but are serious risks. Please avoid giving your pets anything other than food designed for them and recommended by a veterinarian.
